In accordance with the American College Health Association Vaccine-Preventable Disease Advisory Committee and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), it is recommended that all incoming, new Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette students receive the following vaccinations before their arrival on campus or as soon as possible after arriving.
These vaccines are not required but they are highly recommended.
- Hepatitis B Vaccine – 2-dose or 3-dose series
- HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) Vaccine, (Gardasil 9) – 3-dose series (recommended for all students and genders up to the age of 26 years old).
- Polio Vaccine – IPV primary series in childhood, IPV booster only if needed for travel after age 18.
- Seasonal Influenza (Flu): Strongly recommended to complete influenza vaccination by November 1 each year.
- Serogroup B Meningococcal Vaccine – Trumenba or Bexsero – 2- or 3-dose series (recommended for ages 16-23 years old)
- Varicella Vaccine – 2 doses of varicella-containing vaccine at least 12 weeks apart if vaccinated between 1-12 years of age and at least 4 weeks apart if vaccinated at age 13 or older. Dose must be within the last 10 years.
