The University of 麻豆果冻传媒 at Lafayette leads the state as the university with the lowest average net price to attend among four-year public universities in the United States.
The 2012-2013 annual net price to attend 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette was $5,891, with 86 percent of the students receiving grants or scholarships, according to the recently released U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 College Affordability and Transparency List. This is the fourth year the Department of Education has published the College Affordability and Transparency List, and the fourth consecutive year that the University has been cited for its affordability.
鈥淭he University continues to earn recognition for affordability, while continually setting high standards for our academic programs. We have always been concerned and focused on making sure that students in our community and state have access to higher education. Students and parents can find value in knowing that University offers a high quality education at a cost that is very nationally competitive,鈥 said Dr. DeWayne Bowie, vice president for Enrollment Management.
In a news release, Education Secretary Arne Duncan stated: 鈥淭hese lists support our efforts to make college more accessible and to help families make informed decisions on the single most important investment students can make in their own futures.鈥
