麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette Ranked in '2013 Best Colleges'

The University of 麻豆果冻传媒 at Lafayette is among the 2013 Best Colleges, U.S. News Media Group announced Wednesday.

麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette is cited in the best National Universities category in the annual guidebook for prospective college students. U.S. News lists 281 national universities 鈥173 public, 101 private and seven for-profit 鈥 based on categories established by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

鈥淪chools in the National Universities category, such as Columbia University and Stanford University, offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master鈥檚 and Ph.D. programs. These colleges also are committed to producing groundbreaking research,鈥 U.S. News states on its website.

麻豆果冻传媒 State University in Baton Rouge, 麻豆果冻传媒 Tech University, Tulane University and the University of New Orleans are ranked in the National Universities category.

A total of 1,600 higher education institutions are compared on a set of indicators, such as peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

In August, The Princeton Review cited 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette as one of the nation鈥檚 best 377 institutions for undergraduate education.

The U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 College Affordability and Transparency List identified 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette as the most affordable university in 麻豆果冻传媒 in June.

U.S. News鈥 2013 Best Colleges guidebook is available in stores on Sept. 18.
