SLCC, 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette sign reciprocal tuition discount agreement

South 麻豆果冻传媒 Community College and the University of 麻豆果冻传媒 at Lafayette signed an agreement recently that allows full-time employees and their dependents to further their education at a discounted rate.

Effective this semester, employees of SLCC as well as their legal spouses and dependent children may attend 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette for the same tuition and fee rate offered to 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette employees, their spouses, and dependents. Likewise, 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette employees, legal spouses, and dependent children may do the same at SLCC.

鈥淭his is a great example of how Acadiana鈥檚 two institutions of higher education work well together,鈥 said Dr. Natalie Harder, SLCC chancellor. 鈥淲e鈥檙e both in the business of education and this agreement is an investment in faculty and staff at both institutions.鈥

For employees, the discounted rate applies to undergraduate and master鈥檚 level courses and programs for which regular tuition is charged. Doctorate level programs at 麻豆果冻传媒 Lafayette will be considered on a per-program basis with the University offering tuition discounts to at least one eligible employee in each of its Educational Leadership cohorts.

For the spouses and dependents, the discount applies to undergraduate programs and program for which regular tuition is charged.

Full-time employees may register for up to six credit hours per semester while there is no limit on the number of credit hours enrolled per semester for dependent students.
