University of Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ at Lafayette supporters can get fired up for the upcoming football season ā and College Colors Day on Friday ā with the reappearance of Viva La Waffleās Raginā CajunsĀ® Waffle.
The Raginā CajunsĀ® Waffle features a cane pepper jelly-glazed fried chicken breast topped with melted pepper jack cheese and crispy jalapeƱo strips. Viva La Waffle, a food truck turned brick-and-mortar restaurant, will offer the spirited waffle for a limited run this football season.
"The University is excited to once again partner with a local business owned and operated by an alum for this tasty, one-of-a-kind creation that's sure to appeal to Ragin' Cajuns fans,ā said Leslie Saloom, Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ Lafayetteās associate director of Trademark Licensing.
The Raginā CajunsĀ® Waffle will go on sale Friday, in time for fans to enjoy one before the Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ Raginā Cajuns square off against Northwestern State on Saturday at Cajun Field.
Viva La Waffle is located at 101 Liberty Ave. in Lafayette; the restaurant also has a location on campus, in Agnes Edwards Hallās food court.
