High School Seniors Can Get a Jumpstart on College

Lafayette Parish high school seniors who want to get started with college can do so at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette this fall.

Applications are still being accepted for the Fall 2007 Jumpstart Program. Qualified high school seniors can enroll in up to two Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette courses including Psychology 110, Sociology 100 and Geology 105.

Students must be on track to complete the Board of Regents (TOPS) Core, have a 2.75 cumulative GPA, and ACT scores of an 18 in English, an 18 in Math and a 21 composite.

Students receive college credit and high school credit for courses. The only cost is a $25 application fee. Students in Jumpstart will not have to re-apply to Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette following high school graduation.
