The University of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ at Lafayette is offering the nationally acclaimed Paralegal Certificate Course© in a live lecture format beginning Saturday, Sept. 22.

The course provides affordable, comprehensive training for individuals seeking careers in the growing legal field.

It will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for six weekends at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette’s Continuing Education Center.

Those who successfully complete the class will earn a paralegal certificate from Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette and will be trained and qualified to work as a paralegal in Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½. Job search techniques are covered in the curriculum.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for people with paralegal training is 37.8 percent higher than the national average. Also, the job outlook for paralegals is projected to improve significantly over the next 10 years.
