Auditions Scheduled for Performing Arts

The University of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ at Lafayette Department of Performing Arts announces its 2009 Theatre and Dance Departmental Interview/Auditions for Fall 2009 admittance.

Admission is a two-part process. To be considered for admission as a Theatre or Dance major, students must apply to the University as well as complete an Interview/Audition.

For Theatre students, auditions will be held at 1 p.m. on March 28. Students must provide a resume and headshot (if available) and prepare a 30-60 second monologue. For technical theatre, students should provide a resume along with work examples.

For dance students, auditions will be held at 1 p.m. on April 4. Students should provide a resume and headshot (if available). Students will work through a ballet barre followed by modern dance center floor and large movement across the floor.

Auditions will be held in McLaurin Hall on the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Lafayette campus, with reservations required for all auditions. If you are unable to meet the dates provided, please call the Performing Arts office at: (337) 482-6357, to schedule a time.
