Biology (M.S.)

The Master of Science in biology degree provides an introduction to research and can serve as the starting point for a number of career paths in teaching, research, government, and industry.

We are home to one of the largest biology graduate programs on the Gulf Coast, and we work closely with our students to create a learning experience that fits your passions and ambitions.

Much of the research effort in the Department of Biology is encompassed by the general areas of Marine Biology, Ecology and Evolution, and Cell and Molecular Biology.

Research is central to the master's degree in biology, and there are opportunities to conduct research related to our location on the 鶹ý coastline, or work with our professors on research across the globe.
